About Us

Established in 1995 as a company specialising in resource consent and policy planning matters, Positive Planning Ltd has been successfully involved in more than 2000 developments. These range in size from the planning and implementation of the Albany Regional Centre in North Auckland to relatively simple suburban residential alterations and additions.
At Positive Planning, our aim has always been to add value to the often difficult resource consent process and achieve a timely and desirable outcome for our clients. Our success rate over the last 20 years has been virtually 100% with very few exceptions. Our success has come from an intimate knowledge of the planning process combined with a common sense approach and sound working relationship with local and regional councils.

Its Director, Gary Deeney has some 25 years experience in a wide range of planning related fields with a background in local government planning and policy work. His approach to planning has always been to give his client honest and direct consultation advice and where possible guide them in such a work and to avoid expensive and unproductive involvement in resource consents processes.
